Finn Johnson (b. 2004)  is an emerging visual artist based in Providence, RI. He makes images about human nature, and the relationship it has to storytelling and landscape. Working primarily with a large format camera and on camera flash, he explores how photography exists within this space. He Graduated with a BFA in photography from Rhode Island College in 2026. His work has been exhibited in group shows at Rhode Island College, the Providence Art Club, and the Plymouth Center for the Arts. His work is held in multiple private collections.
The ongoing series Torch has been his main body of work since 2024, and explores the role of humans as participants in the landscape, and the photographer as participant in the photograph.  He also has produced a series of sculptures that deal with materials, methods, function, & history, especially as it relates to the New England environment.
He enjoys plants, birds, humans, sheep, shaggy-dog stories, clowns, videos of old men woodworking, cameras, strange music, finding things under rocks, pine-needles, large works on paper, milkshakes, skateboarders, fixing things, 1930's musicals, and wool sweaters.
He has no sense of smell, and is typically soft-spoken.
